i have to say i agree 100%! i just grab for the front door latch before rear fully closes, but that would be a great feature! (The factory ones have it, but, they are controlled by the vehicles computer module to have that function.)

I cant say ive handled the Amp ones, but as for the "feel" of these ones, they are built quite solid...

When i was trying to decide which ones to get i saw posts like yours, and was almost scared away from getting the Bestop ones. They are both the same patent, and same design. I have only had mine for a year and all i can say to anyone about these is they have worked flawlessly for me the entire time! and, they impress the **** out of people!
ive never had anyone say "oh! are those the cheaper, lower quality ones?"
and as far as instructions go, they were step by step, and pretty straight forward!
take factory ones off...
use the same holes...
route loom from battery...
take four wires thru already existing hole on bottom of passenger side...
use color coding to tap into door-ajar wires....
and your done!

so to anyone out there who is considering buying these, in my opinion, they look great, they function great, and were fairly easy to install in an afternoon, by myself, outdoors, with no special tools...
and i am no that mechanically inclined...

(just my 2 cents worth)

found them on ebay from a 100% positive feedback, authorized Bestop supplier, brand new, with warranty, and free shipping! for $910.00
($810.00 after the 100.00 rebate that was offered at the time!)

alright, I just finished installing these wireless steps last night, I LIKE IT!

Instruction said 3 hours install, I took my time, so it was about 5 hours in total, also one of the bolt hole on the truck did not line up with the linkage. needed some extra filling, but I will post some pictures soon.

keep in mind the wireless senor installed on your door pillar will require battery replacement down the road, but the entire install is pretty straight forward, minor adjustments will be needed once you got the motor installed.

forgot to mention, I called their support yesterday regards to the step board installation position on the arms, as you know the board is not that long for a super screw, so I was wondering if I could shift the board more to the rear instead of dead center.

The support girl was full of bs, and I didn't get anything out of the phone call.

Q: "Can I place the board more to the rear?"

A: Well, its designed to be put in dead in the center

Q: But your board is not THAT LONG for super crew.

A: You probably ordered the wrong pn then. (Are you f*ing kidding me? what am I 2 year old?)

Q: Well, I did not find anywhere on the instruction said you have to be installed dead centered? Plus I did some googling, I see quite a few boards are not sitting symetrical, and lots of them are more shifted to the right.

A: Well, We don't go online or google our products (WTF? I just saw a Bestop NX usename here the other day) plus if there was a warrenty related issue, and we asked you to take a picture of the board, if we see the board is not centered, then we will not cover it.

Q: Well, maybe you should ask your engineer to put that comment in your instruction so nobody is confused?

A: I will check with my team.

Q: OK. Thank you for your time then.
