Default Anyone Had A Sliding Back Window Loose?

So I have about 1500 miles on my 2013 FX4 SCREW and I have noticed a rattle coming from the back. Knew what it could be but havent had the time to stick someone back there to find it. Well tonight I had some people in the back eat and I told them that if they heard any rattle to see if they could pin point it.

Well the conclusion was that the rattle was coming from what sounded like the back window.

Has anyone had any issues with the back windows? I know there is a thread about them shattering, but I do not believe I have this issue.

Have you had a lot of snow or ice. If so look between the bed and cab and see if an ice chunk got stuck there I use a broom handle to pop them put. They drive ya nuts and mine is a short drive

We did have ice come through. But it has been long gone for a while now. I thought the same thing. I will have to find some thine to maybe slide the window open so I can get a hold on it. See if it rattles. Or just let the dealer look at it.

I will try and remember to update here.

I have a 2012 fx 4 crew cab, and I have the same problem. My conclusion: when the temps warm up, no noise. When its cold, the seal around the window shrinks and allows the whole right rear glass to float around with every turn, bump, and flex of the body. Its very aggravating, but forget about saying anything to a dealer about fixing it, they'll just tell me I'm hearing things, or its normal. Just have to live with Fords garbage quality...

Silicon spray on under the weatherstriping on the outside will fix it.Tundra crews do this too. Crew cabs have a lot of cab flex.

I had a rattle from coming from the back that I could only hear when the rear slider was open. I thought it was the window but I checked it open, closed, and in between and the window didn't seem to have any play in it. I finally decided that it was coming from the tailgate/tailgate step. Dealer said there wasn't much they could do but they took the step apart and greased all the points and re-torqued all the bolts and it seemed to help a bit.

I would have put money on it being the rear slider but mine was definitely the tailgate/tailgate step.

I told my ford dealership about getting water past my rear window and they had a piece of foam that they put in it to keep the water out. Supposedly ford knows about a leaking rear window and had just sent them these pieces of foam to help block the water. They put it in and I haven't had any problems since. Maybe the rattle will get fixed with this also? I would ask the ford dealership about this.
