I got 10,000 off my 12 xlt with rebates and incentives. Now they are offering 11k.
It was pretty painless. The dealer showed me the figures and breakdown of the money but keep in mind that dealer retains all rebates so they are not loosing money. The truck listed for a tick over 38 and with tax tags put me at 29+ put some cash down and just re-fied with my credit union @2.25% and dropped the payment by $32 bucks.

No because with ford there is no prepayment penalty. Ford credit doesn't care when or how as long as they get the money.

My 2012 Lariat was $43,100 sticker, Z plan was about $5,600 off, then there were another $3,300 in rebates available at the time. No trade in, I initially financed with FMC to get the rebate there, but refi'd with my credit union (@2.5%) to get the better rate that dropped my payment about $15 a month.

Bought a F150 SCREW FX2 5.0L with everything except Appearance Pkg last Thursday and got $8850 off MSRP which included $5250 of rebates and I ended up financing at 3rd Party. It kind of got touchy the night before as I was working all three fronts, vehicle cost, trade-in and financing and they tried to push me to drive one home as I was leaving. I said no way, not tonight and not until a deal has been finalized. Next morning I get a standard "form" email from the GM (sent out by salesman) saying that he noted that I wasn't on the "happy" customer list and was wondering if everything was going ok. I was pissed about the night before and replied back to his email (not the saleman) and told him that I would never be on that list and that I have never seen such BS ( i spelled this out in CAPS) in all of my life. They played the payment game and I told them I wanted the numbers and the terms and they would never give them. Anyway, my phone starting ringing and the emails started coming which I all ignored. Got call from Manager at 9:00 pm in evening and we talked and it all got worked out. In the end, I got a good price on the truck, got what I wanted on my trade and got financing at a far far better rate than I thought I could given my particular situation. It was a bit of work but I got to a happy point and I am driving my new truck which is a blast!
