Default Anyone ever change the amber LED mirror turn signals?

I was wanting to change the amber LED mirror turn signals to red. Has anyone ever done this? I have searched and have not found anybody that sells a red tinted plastic piece that you could just pop in. Any thoughts?

More than likely, Red is illegal. I know thats the case where i'm from. Red and Blue are for police/fire only and you can get a ticket.

So anyways they make these for the front of the mirror I figure with a bit of digging you could find a red LED strip for the OEM location.

Yes, thanks I will look into those. I am a Police Officer and is definitely not illegal. Millions of car/trucks come with 2 in the mirrors. For the front blinkers, yes they have to be amber but the mirror is secondary to your rears, etc

You could just try putting some red vinyl over them.

I've used orange spray paint to tint clear to amber.
Try some red stained glass spray paint. It may take a few coats so it doesn't just look dark orange.

I misread the post... I thought you were asking about the headlight parking lights/turn signals.

This is true as I pointed out in frame #4. Cep't I called the location for those the "front" of the mirror as in the mirror housing...you are looking for the OEM "blinker" location. I have seen some Red LED strips you would cut to length that have 12V wire leads on them. It would take a bit of work to replace them but there are YouTubes for getting those out of the mirror. Depends how determined you are to complete this milestone!?!
