Clearly if I buy a newer truck I need to stay away from sync then. I would wind up punching or bashing the hell out of it and then be SOL and out on money, haha.

I just got my truck but I have had a little frustration but only with names in my phonebook. I just start the call on my phone now and set it back in the cubby hole.

i thought this only went on with me and my wife. as soon as i try to use the voice sync she starts in on me with that thing sucks, it never works. then i try it for lack of nothing else going on and it screws up and i gotta listen to see i told you its a piece of crap and its not going to work. so then i try it again and keep trying it until the wife finally shuts up or it works or we get to where we are going. usually i get to where i am going.

I typically have people text me non-PG13 messages and have her read it. Provides a good laugh.
She does have a difficult time saying "Ashley"...one of the most common names. Weird.

Me: "Play artist linkin park"
"Indexing, please wait"
Sync: "Line-in, please say a command"
Me: "Bluetooth audio"
"No Bluetooth devices available right now, I will try to connect one""line-in"
Sync: "USB, please say a command"
Me: "play artist Pink Floyd"
*long *** pause*
"You can say, play album, artist, genre, playlist, line in, USB........."
Me: "call mom"
Sync: "calling Ron" (my foreman)
Me: *frantically jamming cancel button (before I knew to hold it down), grab phone and cancel*
And of course, the be-all sync fail is in the focus:
Me: "play song imagine"
Sync: "sorry, please say a command"
Sync: "USB, please say a command"

The voice recognition in Sync is useless unless you are saying numbers. I can say "Call Anthony" (my son) and it will call him but if I try to say "Call Maria" (My Wife) it will dial every number in my address book but hers! I've tried to put her nickname in, just called here "Home" and the piece of ****** still won't dial the right number!

My current truck is the third vehicle with Sync. Really haven't had many difficulties with it, but sometimes so many steps are involved that it would be easier to just push the buttons.
