Driver heated seat not working
Hey all!
I have a 2012 KR with heated AND cooled seats. As far as I can tell, the cooled seats seem to work (I feel air coming through) but the heated mode does not seem to get warm. When I press the button for either, the light stays on for the duration of my drive, the seat just doesn’t get warm.
I’ve read about replacing the element on heated seats, but I hear that heated AND cooled seats are a bit different and can’t seem to find much info on how to diagnose/replace.
If the light stays on and does not turn off on its own, could it still be the element, or maybe something else like a sensor or something?
Truck has 120k miles so the seat padding is a bit compressed but doesn’t seem too bad.
Anyone else had this issue with advise on how to diagnose/repair?
Thanks in advance!

It's called a thermo electric device. Do you have a code? Start with fuse 69 under the hood.

Seemingly similar issue with '11 Lariat SCREW, back seems to heat while seat bottom does not ... or at least, I'm never as uncomfortable as I am sitting in the passenger seat! Are the seats on different fuse circuits? Are there different elements and connections that could be disconnected or not working?

Each seat has two TEDs.
