I didn't even know that you can do that (shows how much I read the manual). Would definitely like to know how to turn the key chime off too.

I tried and failed in my '13 Platinum..... Remember seeing something about not being able to turn it off if the MyKey feature was being used..... Look in your owners manual.

i hear ya there. Especially if you have the external keypad entry system,and auto lights, there is really no need for that chime. i'll be trying to tackle this out tonight.

I finally got this procedure to work(it helps if you read ALL the directions), just make sure to set the emergency brake before you start. I thought it was just being overly safe, turns out its just how it has to be. If you don't the rest of it won't work.

Just tried it in my new 2013 super crew. It worked just fine. I'll leave the passenger side alone for now.....
