Default Stereo Specs on '12 FX4 with Lux

I cannot find any details on the stereo on my new truck. They guy at the dealer had it wrong. Is there anyway to find out?

It just says it is a Premium 6-CD w/MP3 listed under the FX Luxury Package on the sticker.

Thanks!

You have the stock sound system. If you had the premium Sony system, the sticker would show it and you would have "Sony" on the side door panel speakers.

the sony system is a $410ish option and it is listed separate on the sticker.

Pretty sure if you power on the truck and your display reads "Build Ford Tough" you have the stock radio. If it says something like "Sony Audio Yada-Yada" then you have the upgraded unit. Wish I could remember what it says though.

Mp3 would be a cd of mp3's. Do you have sync? If so, you can plug a thumb drive of mp3's into that as well.

Search the second USB mod here and it is the bomb. Connect up a remote hard drive in your glove box and have GB's of .mp3's at your fingertips.

Add a 4 channel amp (bridge two for the sub), add a sub, replace front speakers and you will have a great system - can spend less to get for a comparable system but better base; spend the same for Sony and get a decent system w/ decent front stage and much better base; spend about another $300 or more and will have kick butt stereo, rattle your doors and have the girls giggle.

I have the Premium system as you, it sucked compared to my '97 base stereo. I dumped way too much for my audio upgrade, but plan to keep my truck for awhile and listening to the music while sitting in traffic still puts a smile on my face.
