They quoted on the ford build site that the platinum in two wheel drive and 6.2 tows 7500. The 4x4 does the 11100.

I have a 2010 xlt, and I want the tow mirrors so bad I'll trade some one my mirrors. There the basic power mirrors.

Yeah i saw that too, thats weird that there would be that much towing difference in a 4x2 and a 4x4 with the same motor. Maybe you cant get the 2wd in the max towing package but it has the 6.2L. I wonder if you have to have 4x4 to get the max tow package and thats why it will tow 11100.

They say on the build site, the 2x and 6.2 require the max tr.tow package.

I found a platinum 6.2 today in orlando. It still has the protective plastic film on the mirrors, but heres a couple shots. I was set on Platinum white, but the ingot silver looks hot on the platinum. kind of keeps very well with the whole platinum theme. The mirrors would have to revert back to the regular size for me to drive one home though. Dealers working on the numbers for that swap.

ugg those mirrors suck... let us know what the dealer wants to put the small ones on......

Agreed, but I think you can get a chrome bug deflector. Not sure how that would work.
