Default Anybody know what "police dark mode" is in the ECM?

At my dealership the otherday, tech was plugged in to update the most recent ECM programming, and I asked him if there was anyway to activate a boost gauge in the gauge #2 screen. He was scrolling through the menu that he could activate or enable/disable... came across "Police dark mode"... thought we should try it to see if it would kill my DRL's and maybe dash lights for some stealth driving! Anyone know? Is that how I could get rid of DRL's (Canadian truck...) Anyone familiar with all the options in the ECM that have not been activated yet?

Interesting. I think it probably has to do w/ DRLs too.

It's interesting, here in my town, the cops actually use an f150 as a vehicle.

Okay, well, I'm on a Mac, so perhaps there is something there dangerous to PCs? Don't know.

Dark car mode shows up in the Ford fleet guide as a police vehicle option...

I believe it allows vehicle operation with all lights off... No headlights, no dashlights, no interior lights. Usually with a single switch in the cop switch panel....

Plenty of F150's as law enforcement vehicles around here. The rural area sheriff departments love them.

+1 all lights out, so you can run the car and not affect your night vision and be completely dark. Good for speed traps.
