Where have you seen that you can price it out online? Everywhere I look seems to have a store you have to go in to in order to get a price.

The reason i opted for the LEER 100XL is really for dealer experience, aesthetically there was nothing in it for me. I had the auto lock added and some LED lights inside. Nearly 4 months in and very happy, zero leaks.
here's the pics as promised.

the second pic shows the body lines of the canopy and the truck, better than the 100XQ in my opinion, and that's also a pic of us camping last summer.

Keyless Entry $199
Thule Rack: Tracker 2 $349 or AeroBlade $429 (plus attachments for Sea Kayaks)

Dealer said we may find a Leer coupon online and overall price is negotiable especially with the options we were looking at. Since I was ready to buy I didn't test the price.
100XR was about $350 less than the 100 LR that others mentioned they got. I saw the XR as having larger windows for the dog for better ventilation. XL has a crank vs sliding window and it had a better handle and $50 less to add the keyless entry. He told us the 100 XR was their most popular model.

Puts us in the $2000 price range and tax before any discounting we may get.

Keyless entry is an expensive option, looks handy but my tailgate lock requires the key so wondering if it overlaps the tailgate enough that I don't need to lock the tail gate?

Anything you see I would want to get or should rethink?

Sounds like a similar price to what i paid from Cap it in Vancouver, I did print off a voucher from the LEER website which they applied.
If i had a dog i probably would have got the slide windows, if i had the roof rack i would of got the cargo net that can be installed inside, this would have been good for storing waterproofs, life jackets for the boat, loose bit and bobs etc...
I did get the folding clothes hanger to dry wet suits, i had it carpet lined as i also had a bed rug installed, also got the slide/drop window for the reasons mentioned.
The rear window does come over the tailgate (I have the tailgate step), so i added the keyless entry and never lock the tailgate. If someone really wanted to get into the truck bed they could give the tailgate a good yank and it would open but they could also smash the window, it is a deterrent and very handy.
The dome light that comes with the canopy is not that bright so I also had installed 2 LED light strips that come on when I open the glass but can also be independently turned on and off incase i too camp in the back, I certainly would recommend that, there are quite a few people on here that have done it themselves but I was having other stuff done and they did give a bit of a discount.

One comment i read on a thread, you have just spent $$$ on buying your truck, don't scrimp on getting necessary functional accessories.

Good luck with your purchase.

I put a leer 100xr on my 5.5' bed last year. I love it. I second the removable front slider window. It makes cleaning the rear truck window and front of the shell's window so much easier. I have a chocolate lab that cruises with me and I camp in it, so I got the sliding side windows for extra ventilation. If you plan on sleeping in it, the carpeted top is a must have because the shell will drip condensation on you if it is not carpeted. I prefer the single latch handle setup, but that is a preference thing. Other than that, read the threads on the center high mount brake lamp wore location since these trucks cannot have a third brake light wired to the tail lights or trailer harness

i had thought of the 50/50 slider windows, but i didn't like the idea of the aluminum edging around the glass. the paint peels off, and i wanted the side windows to match the rear door.

so, to deal with the potential lack of ventilation, the 12v 3plug hub got installed. this way, i have two fans plugged in blowing air out the rear windows, and the front window open, it circulates the air, even if the truck is parked.

i had wanted the carpet installed, but i thought for the ease of washing, i'd stick to no carpet. i mean, it's a truck afterall right lol.

i had also thought of the cargo net and clothes line, but i don't have a boat and if i wanted the cargo net installed, i'd be able to do it because i've atleast got the rails installed, so the net is possible at a later date.

i like your idea of the strip lights and like you, i've done the keyless entry on the canopy door. i don't have a keyless door lock on the tailgate tho. i'm on the hoping side that if they find the cap locked, they'd assume the tailgate is locked. may be worth the quick few bucks to be installed.

Lots of good information, thanks. The price above included the liner. I didn't consider hanging the wetsuits so that is actually good advice to add the hanger in. The lighting idea sounds good. I need to revisit the netting, still not sure if I want that hanging down and wonder if it will sag more and more over time but I can see where it can help with some. I also wonder about a rack for fishing poles to keep them off the floor.

In your picture what is that on the left side of your bed by the driver side wheel well?

.

Rails installed??? Are you referring to roof rails or is there an option inside? I didn't see anything like that as an inside option. Need to look again, unless I am misunderstanding what you are saying.

sorry man, yes i'm referring to the roof rails on the top of the canopy.

as for the cargo net, i kinda worried about it sagging over time too. the thought of having no visibility out the rear kinda intimidated me. i'd like to be able to see all sides of the truck. lol

as for your fish/gun rack, you can't get them for a 5.5 box.

under this link, it says it's possible, but when you call your dealer, they'll say it's not possible.

also, keep in mind....... some mall or underground parking lots only have a height of 6'6". something the last two inches of your factory radio antenna will hit.

just saying.

Great for storing tie downs, jump leads, first aid box, or more importantly you can throw some ice and beers in it.
