Default Are any of the tailgate gap covers any good?

I'm tired of cleaning mulch out of my tailgate gap and having to stuff paper into the gap to keep from loosing corn. I started doing research on here and other sites and came up with three brands so far; Bully, Rok Block and Pilot. There seems to be problems with some not fitting Fords, the tape not sticking, etc... Has anyone had experience with any of these or others and can recommend one that works?

I regularly hauled rough gravel, pee gravel, and mulch (at different times, of course) in my old chevy, and would always put some wide duct tape across the bottom of the tailgate so the stuff wouldn't fall through there. It worked great. Haven't hauled anything in the new F150 yet, but will probably try the same.

Definitely tough enough for corn, and it covers the gap completely, but not the solution you might think of for a work truck...

Bedrug. It's better than duct tape!

I duct taped the gap while hauling mulch the last two weekends and it worked fine. I just wished there was something more permanent. Thanks for the advice. What would we do without duct tape!

Default Gap Problem Solution

We have seen this problem for awhile now, it seems like something to protect the gap should come standard with trucks. But as it is, the solution is a Gapshield, a rubber strip that adheres it self over the gap and protects from materials falling through.

I can vouch for the BedRug. I had one in my 2010 Lariat, moved it to my 2012 FX2. Considering I haul around furniture constantly and sand, compost, crushed shell quite a bit, I'd say it's holding up very well.
