Default any solutions?

I have quite a bit of drone in the cab, particularly at 65 mph + and also during acceleration. I like the sound and it has a nice idle rumble, but the drone is getting annoying.

I have a Gibson single in, dual out split rear cat-back system. It's made out of aluminumized steel, the engine is 4.6 2v and the muffler is located in the standard spot, about 18" behind the axel.

What can i change to reduce the drone?

Well I know one thing you can do, but it can be a little costly, is put sound deadener in the interior under the trims and floor. It's what, if you're not familiar with car audio, we do to cut down on exterior sound in the cab as well as take care of rattles and other things. You can get some decently priced stuff on ebay and even if you want to go further you can get some really cheap anti fatigue matts at harbor freight for like 10.00 for about 4 sq ft. I'd put that on the floors and ceilings, but it's a little tough to do on trims and behind them.

Another thing it will do if you do it in your doors is improve your sound quality. Less bounce of sound waves behind your speakers. You'd be surprised.

Just my new $.02

or if you wanna save a few bucks go to a roofing jobsite and ask if they have any scraps of Ice and Water shield, its virtually the same stuff as what the audio car guys use, only it costs way less.

or you put a clamp around the exhuast at variouse places that way it changes when you get the drone, to a spot outside your cruising RPM. quick and simple.

The stock one???

I have fooled around with my exhaust for the last time. On my last car it had a custom exhaust and the drone was unbearable going up a slight grade. I had to constantly pay attention to the tach and keep the RPM's over 1,900 by selecting a lower gear. RPM's any lower than that, and it would drill a hole in the back of your head.....
