Any regrets on the 5 1/2' bed

Maybe if I had more than the 5 1/2 I could fit my girlfriend's Nissan Cube in the bed so we don't have to drive separately when going to visit our families back home....

No regrets here - Screw with 5.5' bed. It replaced a 2007 Sequoia, and we will put a cap on it, so it is basically just a bigger (than the 2007 Sequoia) bed. Personally either 5.5 or 6.5 would have worked for us. If I need a 8' bed, I can use my 2005 Dodge or even my 1997 Dodge flatbed, that is 9.25'. I have a slight preference for the 6.5, but my wife had a slight preference for 5.5. The dealer searched for either (with other "must haves") and we ended up with 5.5. The wife and I are both happy.

2011 FX4 SuperCrew 5.5' bed.
97% of the time, I'm glad I have the shorter bed. Just easier as a daily driver, parking, turning radius, 1-piece driveshaft, etc.
3% of the time when I'm hauling lots of stuff, heading out camping, etc., I miss the 8' bed on my SuperDuty, and think that even the still short 6.5' bed would be better than my 5.5'.
But if I was to do it over again, I'd still get the 5.5' bed!
