I love my 5.4 2010 Lariat. I have no problems with it and it's performance is very good for what I need. I get 14.5 mpg in the city and I haven't had it on a long trip yet for that mpg.

I had a 2010 with the 5.4L. No issues or complaints. I was relatively happy with performance. It had a great sound too (stock).

NO
It was a mediocre powertrain. Its been replaced by exponentially better engines (thankfully). Even the new 3.7 V6 is a better engine. The 5L and ecoboost make it look like a dinosaur in comparison.

I Think my 5.4 is fine. It can tow my 28 foot 6000 lb trailer no problem. Gas mileage is fine on the highway. Around town, well its a pig on gas. But what V8 powered truck isn't????

My last F150 had a 4.6 under the hood, so in relative terms, i am very happy. (Not knocking the 4.6 at all, but I have lots more pull power now).

One of the most underpowered engines Ford ever used. The Hemi and Tundra embarrassed it. Very reliable engine, no doubt, but wouldnt have one.

My 10 SCREW is my 2nd 5.4 F150 I've owned. It does the trick and neither had a single problem. It does the job but it is no doubt under powered.

My 5.4 is great. Really no complaints. My city mpg is around 13-14 because of my tires and highway is around 17-18.
