Default Any 3v 4.6 owners run straight pipes?

Just curious as to the sound. I mean just cutting muffler out and leaving everything else stock. I loved them on my mustang and wondering how the trucks sound. And yes I searched before I posted this

IMO straight pipes don't sound good at all , sounds like a hacksaw mechanic job. But I'm sure you could find on YouTube a clip.

I had it done on my 2010 Scab, muffler cut out and piece of pipe put in its place always got alot of complements sounded like an old muscle car. BUT the drone on the drive to NY and back made me want to off myself. Around town its doable but long trips not so much unless you dont like talking to the other people in the cab. My wife wanted me todo it on the 5.0 she loved the straight pipe but Me after time not so much.

That's what I was wondering. I am upgrading, but I would like to leave the stock pipes on and just change the muffler. I figured that straight pipes was pretty much the same as a straight thru muffler but a fraction of the cost.

Yeah I always had other f150 owners chase me down to see what brand my exhaust was lol. Cost $60 bucks had it done since 2 days I owned the truck and until the day I traded it with 40k miles.
