Default Another Subwoofer install

I know, I know. Not another one! But yes, here it is. My humble attempt to customize my 2012 XL scab. I had a stock system, no nav or sync. I installed a double din bezel and AppRadio that woke up my stock system. I showed my buddy the radio and he said he had an old Alpine V12 amp that he would give me. Here are the specs of the Amp.

80.0 Watt - 2.0 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.08 % - 12V DC - 2.0 channel(s)
40.0 Watt - 4.0 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.3 % - 12V DC - 4.0 channel(s)
60.0 Watt - 4.0 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.3 % - 14.4V DC - 4.0 channel(s)
50.0 Watt - 4.0 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.3 % - 14.4V DC - 2.0 channel(s)
30.0 Watt - 2.0 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.08 % - 14.4V DC - 4.0 channel(s)
120.0 Watt - 4.0 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD 0.3 % - 12V DC - 4.0 channel(s)

So now I had a new receiver and an amp. What to do?

$ 0-Alpine MRV-F307 4/3/2 Channel Power Amplifier
$30-Boss D10F 10" 800W Shallow Mount Subwoofer
$20-8 ga amp install kit
$ 7-Subwoofer round terminal (connecter)
$60-gtMat Ultra 25 sq. ft. (80 mm)
$20-1qt Herculiner Bed liner
$20-4x4 MDF 3/4 thick
$ 6-Cutting board (amp mount)

$163.
I had hardware, such as screws and wood glue and also primer.

Ill post the Pics, but the sad part is you can't hear it. With the new receiver, amp, sub, and sound deadened back wall, the cab is more quiet and the audio is full and rich even with the stock speakers in the door.

I plan on lining the doors with gtMat and replacing the stock speakers with some infinty's or something comparable. Half the fun of these projects is finding the bargains on line.

Nice job on the box! I really like that look over the carpeted boxes.

Default Sub install...

Here is the final. The seat folds down and locks the sub into place. No attaching required.

I was going to use MDF, but it was a little too thick. I looked up on line and found that these dense plastic cutting boards work well for door speakers. So I figured I would use one for the amp. Looks a little getto, but I works well and no one will see it.

Looks good. The only thing I have to say is you probably wasted your money on the dynomat. The only thing that makes noise on my truck is the cab vents. I fix this by rolling all the windows down to drown it out. I should specify that this noise is only heard on the outside.
