Another gear ratio question
I have searched and searched but can't find what I'm looking for. For those of you that are running 33's or 35's with 4.10 or 4.56 what kind of mileage are you getting and how do they perform?

I can't help you except give my opinion, so here it is: if I were going with gear change I wouldn't be concerned about mpg. Really, for trucks, if you're getting between 12 - 20 mpg, 12 being city, 18-20 or so highway, hey, that's great!

4.10's and 35's is what the Raptor comes with from the factory and it seems to suit it well, however gas mileage still sucks because its got the thirsty 6.2 under the hood.
4.10's should be fine for 35's, but no matter what gears you choose you wont be getting any increase in mpg with big tires. Don't opt for 4.56's unless you plan on running 38's or 40's

The 4x4 shop doing my gears showed me this website that helped me decide on 4.56. Very best gear calculator I've ever seen. I filled in all the correct gear ratios for transmission and transfer case. All you have to do is change up tire size and gear ratio to see what rpms you'll run at different speeds. It's pretty accurate to my current setup. http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html
