Amsoil Blackstone Labs Analysis Report (22,672 Miles)
Since I'm an Amsoil dealer, I wanted to test their 25,000 mile oil drain interval claim. I figured what not better way to test it than on a newer engine. I ran the first oil change up to 10,000 to let the engine break in, then changed it. The last time I changed it (a few weeks ago) I was at 32,672. I sent a sample of that oil with 22,672 miles on it off to Blackstone Labs for analysis. I did not change the filter in between nor did I add any oil. This oil has a lot of hard use on it, to include but not limited to, towing around 7,000 lbs from San Antonio TX to North Carolina through the Blue Ridge Mountains, a truck pull competition, and many WOT acceleration pulls. This is a 2012 with the 5.0. Attached are the results.

I'm 13k miles into my amsoil (10months).
Thank You for this!
I've been very hesitant to go the full 25k/1year. I'm no longer concerned...

You may consider sending them a new oil sample, that will give you base line results. Then you will have actual samples of used and new oils, not an average for comparison. That's the right way.

Amsoil is a great oil. I just hate how expensive it is. I also wish you could get it without paying shipping.
With the little amount of miles I drive each year, its not worth me running it.

On your next oil sample, when sending in your used oil sample for analysis.
