AMP running boards

How can I make them stay out on my 2012 King Ranch?

Get out of the truck, put your foot on the board with a little downward pressure and close the door, they will try to retract and stop when the resistance is sensed.

If you want them permanently out, open door and let them go out and then disconnect power.

But I don't know why you'd want that...

I will trade you my raptor running boards if you want running boards that stay out.

Don't the Amp models have a switch that allows this?

No.

I use an umbrella to push my driver side down so I can take it through the car wash. I will say these steps get dirty quick. (No mud flaps though.)

Well, it's an option. Seems like everyone wishing they had it should click here:

That option wasn't available when I installed the Amps boards on my truck. Pretty useless if you ask me, they hang way too low when deployed, I'd be afraid they would snag something.

Using the foot or a stick/umbrella etc to hold them out for various reasons leaves them in auto mode so when you get back in you won't forget to flip a switch and get out later to find one of them bent, broken, or gone.

Are we arguing about something?

I haven't been arguing.

It's Sunday. Relax.
