The XL says it drops 3" farther than the standard model.

The Y-harness for the OBD2 port is an option you have to buy, it doesn't come with the kit.

Bumpin this thread for a question. How many models of powersteps are there? I went to a local off road shop and he said there were the XL base ones then some with leds. Prices reflected options from what I’m guessing. I went to amp’s site but they all list the same price and they aren’t clear on different models. They are all listed as powersteps.

I'd have to unplug it every time I got in and out of the truck for the boards to deploy, that would get annoying pretty quick.

Ok nassty so you don’t have to install them. Awesome to know.
Pretty cool you were able to make them fit

The boards are all the same length, they state in the instructions to cut to fit. They come long enough for a screw. I left them uncut and they fit perfectly for my scab. I would imagine cutting them for a regular cab would be required or look out of place.

Morris, I just came across my receipt and the part # is AMP76141-01A.
That's a PNP standard drop (non XL) for a 09-14 F150.
I see what you mean about their site. The literature leads you to think that is the XL version, but it's not.
