Neeed Help with Identifying Parts
Hello;
Vehicle: 2009 F-150 XLT. Super cab, 5.4L engine.
First, thank you all for a great forum; I am a long time reader, but first time poster.
I especially thank the members whom contributed to the “disable seatbelt chime” threads.
I, like many, tried unsuccessfully numerous times to perform the owner’s manual disable algorithm.
My manual specifically states to fasten, then unfasten (along with the other steps), the seat belt nine times to disable the chimes.
In reading the threads, I tried the recommended three times, whereas, I am now successful. Thank you.
Now, I hope someone can help me identify the parts in these pictures.
I was cleaning my truck last weekend, and pulled out the cigarette lighter (picture #4), where two parts came flying out from somewhere. They ended up on the floor, right in front ofthe middle of console, and I did not see where they came from. Note: the cigarette lighter still seems towork (although I don’t use it).
Picture #1: shows the individual parts (note: silver post has a recess in large end that perhaps a barrel spring seats into. The silver post is approximately ½” long, and the blue piece is approximately ¾” outside diameter.
Picture #2: mainly to show the threads on inside of larger (blue) part. It threads onto something. It is blue color (similar to my truck’s exterior color) but I do not know if the color is relevant.
Picture #3: My guess at how the two pieces might go together. My thinking here is perhaps they are parts from a spring-loaded cigarette power adaptor that may plug into the cigarette lighter.
Picture #4: My dash console. Parts came from somewhere when I pulled out the cigarette lighter in bottom left corner of console (to the left of the Sync USB port).
Does anyone have any knowledge (or guesses) from where these parts may have come from?
I did research my 3-volume Ford factory service manuals, but did not find any help.
Thank you all very much in advance for your help.

I now agree with the cigarette lighter adapter suggestions.
I do not have any adapter with an end like this, but I seem to recall one of my hunting buddy's kids was recently trying to charge something in my truck.
Let's call this case closed, and thank you all very much for your help.
