I have a stupid idea. Instead of trying to find rims that are the same but one is 6 lug and the back is 8 lug why not convert the front to a straight axle and lift it. You would have a sweet mudder if you did that. Lol. Just an idea

Yes, you will have a one of a kind truck. And when you go to sell it, you are going to take a very bad hit unless you can find a like minded buyer. A dealership will crucify you on the trade if they would take it at all.

Dont plan on trading it in anytime soon. Unless someone offers me a diesel . . .

And, I've made contact with several companies, planning on going with 4" spacers just incase, b/c I am a little worried there may be rubbing if I go any smaller up against the shock. he quoted me $500, which isn't too bad, I think. And converting the front end to a SA isn't in the near future or even in my mind. I wouldn't know where to begin with that. Also, does anyone know if Ford made the 2009+ daully fenders available with a gas cap cut out, like that goes around the gas cap kind of like the dodge megacab short bed dualies are?

I've seen a few Suburban dually conversions and I think there are companies that deal in that sort of thing. Perhaps it'd be useful to see how they do it.

Obviously, not a Ford.. but it could be a start.

Soo... when can we expect to see this completed? I'm actually very curious.

Mid to late July, going to Florida the end of this month and don't want to have this project going on during it. I will try to have everything scheduled and parts ordered though so when I do get back everything is here and ready to be started on.
