Default Alright I admit I need help

I have seen many threads on this but it is still unclear on exactly how to get the rear seat to fold forward for amp mounting. I have a 2011 Supercrew. There seems to be a difference between the 2010 Screw and the 2011. I would appreciate the help Thanks in advance.

If they dont fold down, then just take the entire seat out as an assembly. should be 4-6 bolts underneath. I havent had to work on any 011 f150 yet.

The easiest way I found is to stand in the backseat (well sort of kneeling) facing the driverside door, and with your left hand put your palm towards the back glass, thumb down. At the same time pull your back seat up a little to allow a little more room to access the back. Slide your hand back behind your headrest and feel for the **** and pull it up with your thumb. It is not very big and hard to find sometimes but it's there. I've heard of people putting a string around it for the next time they have to access that area.

I had an 09 Lariat SCREW and now an 11 Limited and they are both the same. So I am pretty sure yours will be the same. Good Luck!

I have a 2011 FX4 and cannot lower the rear seat backs. I tried and the rear seats appear to be on a rail system so the seat backs can move up and down depending if they are folded or not. Doesn't help having huge bear mitts for hands but tried to no avail...sigh. Wanted a hidden gun rack...lol.

It took me sometime to get it down but I finally got it. I'll take some pics in the morning so you know what you're looking for.

these pictures are taken while the seat has been folded down because u cant get a camera in the tight space when the seats are folded up. the pin is in the unlocked (released) position. when folding down the seat take the bench part and fold it up to get more room to work with. then take the closed end of a box wrench to pull up on this pin. first time it will most likely be pretty stiff, after a whille u can do it by hand and feel... but heres the mod i did to make this whole process super easy.

I had a HELLUVA time the first time I folded mine, too. I've got big hands also and found it NEARLY impossible to get my hand back there and be able to do anything with it. Finally out of sheer desperation I got it. I don't find it easy at all to do, frankly.

Use a box end wrench to slide over the pin and will be able to easily pull up and fold down the rear back seat. To get better access, fold up the rear bottom portion. Once you have the back folded down, drill a small hole thru the pin and attach a piece of wire that you can pull up for future access. The 09's had a lip on the pin where we could use zip ties, but w/o the lip, the zip ties slide right off - hence the reason to drill a small hole.
