Read about this, this morning. Ford is implementing another siri feature to sync. From 2011 and up apparently.
I'm an android user, so maybe you're aware of this already, but I thought I'd post it just in case.

It's just Siri hands free.

In other words, if you hold the voice button long enough, Siri comes on over the speakers and you can ask him/her to do things as you would outside of your truck.

I just happened to log on to my SyncMyRide account last Saturday (11/28) and it said there was an update available. I downloaded it to a USB and installed it later that day while we were driving. Took about 30 minutes to install, and goes through several reboot cycles as it does it. I had to reinstall my wallpaper, but everything else was normal. I haven't tried the Siri option though.

Yeah well I have the SYNC 4.4 and I can already talk to Siri and voice text on my iPhone. Each time I leave my truck the phone disconnects and when I re-enter it re-connects and resumes the last feature I had running. Not sure what all the hoo-haa is about. Ppl on this forum were installing this version (EA5T-14D544-AD Gen2 - V3.8) in October this year. My Ford Sync page says my system is up to date...probably only for certain vehicles depending which SYNC you have.

How about ford and apple work together to make bluetooth audio and usb louder. I have to turn the volume **** dang near 20 ot get the same loudness of the radio setting on 10. Its absurd. And yes my phones volume is all the way up.

This new siri feature will be pretty neat though.

Can the original Sync be updated or only the newer versions(Touch, Sync 3, 4.4)?
