Which All Terrain Tire is best?

The tires are all season more then an all terrain tire. They are light weight P rated tires that give the best fuel mileage and smooth ride. An LT rated tire is going to be heavier and usually ride rougher while lowering your gas mileage around 2 mpg. If you use your truck for towing, hauling heavy load's or need a stronger tire for use on construction sites or just plain offroading then you should consider going with a true LT rated all terrain or mud terrain tire.

The Michelin AT2s that came on my truck are pretty good tires. You barely here them at highway speed. They have great wet traction, ride well, handle deep sand very well, did very well in the moderate mud I have put then through, and were fairly good at self cleaning.
I like them better than the BFG AT KO s, and Cooper ATRs that I have had in the past.
They are actually made by BFG for Michelin.
So the Michelin AT2s give you the look and ride of a street tire, with real capabilities.

The BFG A/T KOs have been great for me. I know a lot of people show them no love, but I think that's just what happens when something becomes popular. They're quiet on the street and have gotten me out of a couple of tough spots in the past.

Thanks PawPaw. That was another question I had. The P rated will probably be good enough for now.
Doubtful that I will get offroad much while it is still new!

Another vote for the BFG A/T's. I have had 3 sets on different vehicles and always been pleased with wear, handling and noise.
One word of caution. It has been my experience that in order to really get good wear from these tires to rotate them with every oil change (5,000 miles). Doing this really helped the tires wear evenly.
