Default Alignment "Kit"

Had a national alignment company manager tell me I had to buy a "kit" to align my FX4. Said that some trucks come with the "kit" from the factory.

My understanding is that it takes work but these trucks can be aligned without a "kit". What say you experts?

I had mine realigned after my level and it was aligned according to the computer but it still pulled to the right .. so i take it back to the guys i have used for years (and trust) and was shown that there is some alignment piece that as to be added to align the wheels from front to back. my right side is 1/2" closer to the rear of the fender than the left. it was 140.00 for the part and install. now all is good.

I do my alignments at home and I can tell you the kit makes it a whole lot easier. I don't think that any of them come with the kits from the factory though. Here's some videos of it done both ways.

So is the "kit" at my expense, if so, which brand/style is optimal? Does it stay mounted on the truck, or do most alignment shops re-use these kits?

I just had mine done at Goodyear earlier today and they didn't say anything about it... Less than $70 out the door.

I wonder how much my camber is off with no cam adjustment? They just adjusted the toe.

Where would I be able to buy that cam kit?
