Default air flow from lower heat vents

Did anyone ever get a solution to the low flow out of the lower heat vents when FLOOR is selected? It ramps up the air flow out of the defrost vents when the floor is selected, but never fuly spilts to increase flow when just the floor is selected

Also interested in an answer for my 2012 work f150. Do not have an issue on my 2010.

my 2010 would greatly reduce air flow to the defroster and what felt like 80% to the floor when the floor was selected, both trucks have auto climate

my 2010 would even put some cool air on your feet in the summer, which was very nice

we finally had enough cold outside to run the heat blower fan high enough to warm the truck but the air flow was pretty much blah compared to the 2010

update
I decided this evening to select AUTO and wouldn't you know, it blew like gangbusters from the bottom floor vents, and about 1/3rd out the defrosters vents, it ven kept the back doors windows clear

then i switched back to manual and it was easy 50/50 spread between the defroster and the floor vents

so i guess the brain in the climate control module does control the blend doors to a different rate than when manual mode is selected.

I have the exact same issue, however, I don't have dual zone, just manual single. No auto button.

Anyone else notice this?

It makes no sense to me that the defrost increases when I only select floor.

Same thing here. 13 RCSB STX 5.0. My vents do the exact same thing...minimal floor airflow. If someone else finds that this is abnormal, I'll be off to the dealer.

I've got the auto climate control on my 2011 Lariat. I'm not sure if it's normal but when I put it on auto it only seems to flow air out of the defroster vents and doesn't send anything out of the dash vents. That's not normal is it. I though maybe it is since I just had the truck in to get the blend door actuator fixed under warranty and it still does it. Of course it might be dumb to assume the dealer will test out the AC system completely before giving me the truck back
