Aftermarket Brake Rotor & Pad replacements?

Aftermarket Brake Rotor & Pad replacements?
I had my brakes turned by the local dealer where I bought by 2013 S/C NEW, and it has once again, returned. I'm not a jack-rabbit driver or stopper, and with 35,000 miles on the truck and warranty gone, it is time to put this irritation behind me. What would be the most practical solution, brand and type?

It's a like a HVAC system. The name brand is not as important as the installation.
I can install bargain stuff the correct way and you'd be happier than if someone just slapped on the best stuff as fast as possible.
The best scenario is quality parts installed with care. I've had success using Centric and Raybestos frequently, with Wagner thrown in every now and then. I always buy the best rotors and pads that each manufacturer makes.
As for the install- spend a lot of time cleaning up the hub face. This is the most important step to getting smooth brakes, and one that most guys skip entirely. I use a razor blade and WD40 to scrape away any high/rusty spots.
Next up is getting the pads to freely slide in the caliper. That requires new slide hardware and possibly filing down the ears of the pads until they move freely, but not so much that they are not loose.
Lastly, use high temp brake grease on the pad ears where they contact the slide hardware.
With those steps and parts- every brake job always turns out 100% smooth and quiet.

I'd also stay away from Hawk pads...the low speed squeak is annoying....and i knew better then getting mine bc I had the same thing with Hawk on a car
As for rotors...i personally love plain Brembo rotors...Centric rotors are nice too bc of the black coatings on the center which after a few rain storms is nice since no rust there. Price wise...go to Rockauto.com and pick something in your budget

I recently installed the Stage 3 Motorsports front and rear Z23 rotor sets on my 2014 and my fathers 2016. This was only the rotors. Left the stock Ford pads on both trucks. So far they working great.

I just put on Powerstop Z36 pads and slotted/drilled rotors last weekend. Looks good and don't make a sound. Can't really comment on stopping power yet as I am still trying to go easy on them during the brake in. plus only about 200 bucks on amazon right now.

By the time I got to the second 30 mph thing, I had them fading and smoking. Drove around for 10-15 minutes to let them cool, they work great now. Don't be afraid to really hammer on them, then go WOT, and hammer them again.

Also I would advice everyone against having rotors turned (machined). Every time I machined my rotors they seem to warp almost instantly again and worse.
if your brake peddle is shaking just replace your rotors.
