On an ECO I think that would fill up and eventually slug (as in hydro-lock) the engine upon a hard flog. The outlet needs to be at the bottom on the ECO. I'm surprised they haven't incorporated a simple drain valve and made it a scheduled service item like the water separator on a diesel. The block-off plate significantly reduces the performance of the CAC.
Frankly I think a lot of ECO's suffer the same problems as many PSD's. They're built for work but get used for groceries.

For the cost that was paid and the benefit of a tune, then yes, you are the only one.

I took mine off when I drilled the hole but it did have it.

Great deal! Especially if it has been taken care of. For that motor to last that long you know it has been.

There is a new TSB that calls for Ford to remove the block-off plate and reflash the PCM. It is the latest, and supposedly best fix (as in "this is what really fixes it"). It's a "14-_ _ _ _" tsb number.

Hope this helps.

No, you are not. That sounds like Molly Hatchet flirtin' with disaster to me as well. Not everyone buys vehicles to destroy them as fast as they can.

I know of no proof that a tune will affect its longevity.
