Default Affordable Rotors/Pads -

I'm looking to replace my stock rotors and pads because I can't stand the vibration when applying the brake. The truck was doing it when I bought it used a few years ago with only 17k miles. Now it has 77k miles and I've had enough.

I know you can spend $500 on a super high quality set of rotors, but I'm looking for something cheaper that I can get from a local auto parts store. Has anyone replaced theirs with a brand from an AutoZone, Advanced Auto, etc? If so, have the rotors held up well or did they warp easily too?

Also, I wonder if I could get away with only replacing the front rotors or do I need to replace all 4?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I got these and they are so much better response than the Oem brakes. They stop on a dime, I have only had them for 5000 miles but no more of the shudder from the original truck at 40000 miles. For $444 delivered to your door, I don't think this was a bad deal for rotors and pads for all 4 wheels.

Check with a place called rotor pros. They can get what ever you want and usually really good prices

I just swapped my stockers for the PowerStop One-Click Z36 kit. The rotors are cross-drilled and slotted which I'm not a huge fan of but for $218 I went ahead and pulled the trigger. So far they've been great.

I just put the Powerstop Z23's on the front of my 2011 last week, no issues. Weren't a whole lot more than OEM, and Im guessing the rotors wont warp nearly as fast either, so probably cheaper in the long run.

I found its cheaper to order the whole kit (I got mine through Amazon) than it is to buy each rotor individually and the pads.

Default Affordable Rotors/Pads - Warped Rotors - Front and/or Rear

Has anyone only replaced the rotors on the front to see if that's all that needs to be replaced to get rid of the vibration when braking? Or do all 4 rotors have to be replaced?

I put the Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Kit on my 2014 FX4 and I have no complaints. I definitely am putting them through hell too.

Yes you can do just the fronts. That's where most of your brake bias will be anyway so the fronts always wear out faster.
