Default AFE Intake for my 13 Ecoboost

Hey all. I've decided that I want an AFE intake for my Ecoboost. I've got an MBRP exhaust already. I'm thinking a dry setup is best. Any opinions?

I'm sure others will chime in, but you should save your money for something that you will actually get some benefit from. CAIs are a waste of money, especially on the EcoBoost.

I spent $300 on a HyperTech tuner. An extra 65hp on regular gas.

when I bought a CAI for my Ecoboost I took it right back off almost immediately. on my Ecoboost Focus ST, there was a significant increase in turbo spool which I love the sound of, so that's what I was hoping for on my truck and I got absolutely nothing. no nice spool sound, no better MPG, no increase in power to speak of. your money is definitely better spent on something else.

Hey thanks for the replies. I did purchase a SCT x4. Run it on the 87tow canned tune. (We only have up to 91 oct) guess I'll spend that CAI $$ elsewhere.

Glad I read this. I was going to be getting a CAI as well as sct x4 soon. Looks like I can hold off on the CAI. Fine with me lol

You should look into getting an intercooler (We use a Wagner intercooler in our truck) and a 170-degree thermostat (We recommend Reische). Those are normally the first two modifications we tell customers about for the ecoboost, after getting a programmer and tune.

Thanks for the replies. The intercooler looks good but the $ is killer right now. I'll def be working towards it though. Why the colder thermostat?
