Default AFE Cold Air Intake on EcoBoost?

I am looking at the AFE Stage 2 Cold Air Intake. Is it really going to help with anything over stock? Louder, better MPG, are the HP / TQ gains they claim real?
thanks in advance

It won't help you stock. You need a tune to go with it. When I had mine on it constantly kept hitting the BOV. It definitely helps spool up quicker and flows more air, but the stock tune doesn't use it. All you'll hear is a thump thump sound when letting off on the gas and slowly going through gear changes. That's the BOV releasing air the engine won't use. A tune would probably utilize it. You can hear the turbo's slightly more, but nothing radical. Saw nothing in the MPG dept either.

I still have it, but just went with a ProDry drop in filter.

I was really looking forward to getting the AFE stage 2 intake but I wasn't sure if you need a tune/programmer. Would the intake with a 4 inch exhaust run to lean or too rich without a programmer? Looking at getting the edge programmer along with the intake but now I'm having second thought. Input please

When I talked to MPT it was made clear that an intake was for blink and noise for the most part. best bet was tune, downpipe, intercooler, T-stat for power gains.
