Because you don't need to check the oil level maybe?

They didn't put a dipstick in the trans because people for the most case have no clue on how much fluid is supposed to be in the trans or how to properly check it, almost all new cars don't come with dipsticks anymore, especially for chryslers sake.

Automagic trannies do not "use" ATF. So unless your tranny is toast, you should never need to check the level of the ATF except when doing an ATF change every coupla years. And very few DIY shadetree mechanics are qualified to do an ATF flush and fill, so they make it where only the pros can do it without a lot of study and heartache and skinned knuckles.

The PA part# for the truck pan and dipstick is 68405. The pan and dipstick for the Mustang is 68402. Go through Jeg's to get better pricing.
