adding a locker 2013
Has anyone gone the aftermarket route on their rear end? Getting quotes to get a detroit tru trac installed or has anyone added the factory E locker to an open diff truck? My next question if anyone knows the answer, Yes i know if i go with the aftermarket that it will not be covered under factory warranty I'm okay with that, I am not okay with my whole trucks powertrain warranty being disqualified. any answers will be greatly appreciated.

I replaced my open diff./e-locker carrier with a Truetrac LS.
I don't think it will disqualify the whole powertrain warranty. |

Did you do it yourself or shop and which set up exactly did you use?
He just removed the stock carrier and installed carrier bearings (side bearings) on the Truetrac, installed the ring gear and installed the Truetrac. All I needed for parts was the Truetrac, new carrier bearings and new non-synthetic gear oil. |

I was told this was the right model # for a 2013 3.31 along with this advice: It is something that you can install but definitely set aside a full 8 hours to do it and the key is to have patience with the setup and gear tooth pattern checks by folks from here: Filthy Motorsports FilthyMotorsports.com | DrivetrainShop.com| AllCrawl.com | Crawlpedia.com |
