Default Adding cooled seats with OEM parts

Looking at Tasca's parts diagram: if you replace the bottom cushion with the ducted foam (632A22, $120), add the duct panel (18D507a, $60), and add the blower motor (19E880, $98) you are mostly there. Only issue should be wiring up the blower motor. There is likely no way to use factory wiring harnesses, so would it be possible to use a simple on/off switch if you didnt care about having multiple speeds?

Any ideas or anyone attempt this?

So do these seats actually use the a/c compressor? or are they thermoelectric?

I was told from my dealer it would be about $2500 to install cooled seats...

I would love to know if this is possible as well.

Doesn't this just make the seats "ventilated" vs "chilled"? And I'm pretty sure you need to make sure you already have the seats with the perforation to allow the air to flow through the seats.

I looked in to this aftermarket and it was too expensive to be realistic, and then there were still complications making them chilled vs ventilated.

I think it is possible, I am working now to add heated/cooled seats. I have the seats and now searching for a donor truck to buy all the components needed. You could simply add the fans and set them up to come on with a potentiometer so you could regulate the voltage.

Sllydderrr and I tried to figure this out when I was going to install my leather seats and wanted cooled seats. Came to the conclusion it wasn't worth it but we did learn that Ford uses a Peltier system for their heated and cooled seats. It's a separate system from the climate control.
