I'm a programmer by trade so when I see those lines above I start to think that "Oh great, here's a guy who wants to change some VERY SPECIFIC memory locations in the body control module that could screw up his entire truck... think I'll pass." (Playing devil's advocate.)

How did you determine that THIS was the change?

I'm not knocking it at all... if this works this is an incredible piece of detective work and many kudos coming your way.
You should read this entire thread to understand what was done to discover how this series of changes was identified. RE: those specific BCM codes, Read Golfen's posts, these were the BCM code changes he had done by his Ford dealer using IDS. Those specific code changes were identified based upon a review of like-year XLT VIN "As Built" specs, taken from motorcraftservice.com.

To confirm, I did the same review of 2013 XLT VINs and discovered as did Golfen that these two lines were consistent for F150s with auto headlights. I took a printout of my STX's "As Built" data to my dealer and asked them to have a tech reprogram those two lines. They took it in no problem, charged an hour labor but said if it didn't work they wouldn't charge me. Worked like a charm. All these codes do is "switch on" the function for the light sensor in the BCM.

Reading above, some guys have now figured out how to set these up on 2014's as well, adding a light sensor wiring harness, plus a wire fom the auto-headlight light switch. Very cool!

Thanks for taking the time to explain it. I was engaged with this thread early (hence the subscription) but a lot of what got added was "more of the same" and I missed the whole BCM detail discussion. I bought the light sentinel and switch early on but have been dealing with the annoyance of the lights always being on. Now that folks have proven this works I'm inclined to get the dealer to do it as well. An hour labor here is around $100... :-/ But to have the lights work "correctly" is worth it to me.

Thank you (and Golfen) again! Really brilliant work here. Reading the other thread on this.... seems like tmajor was the one who did 90% of the work on this. Kudos to all who played a role here.

Changed the two lines of code and the auto lights work and I was able to program the delay off time.

Has anyone had success with adding auto headlights to a 2014 f150 stx. Mine doesn't have auto lights, nor the sensor... Nor the wiring harness to it. I went ahead and purchased the switch, the sensor, and wiring harness. But before I attempt to install... I was curious if anyone had luck
