Default Added Chrome Mirror Caps Tow Mirrors

I had always wanted to do this but didn't want to take the mirror glass off and deal with that. Knowing my luck both would be broken and would be much more of an ordeal. Well I digress

Saw a video on YouTube of a guy doing it by just breaking off the old cap. I've heard that want possible, but it is

Went to the dealership. They had the caps in stock. Came home and literally 3 mins later I had mirror caps

Took a screw driver to the cap. Prayed it up a little worked around the area and was able to break it off. The clip broke but that's no problem because I don't have any need for if

Took the new chrome cap, lined it up and it just snaps on. Easy peasy.

Really simple project if you are looking to add a little bling to your truck

Either ptm or chrome would look great. Either way it's a quick way to change the look of the truck

Yea it really looks good. I did the same from black painted to chrome but it really isn't that hard to change them without breaking anything. Just get a long flat head screw driver and the glass will come out pretty easy.

Do you still have unbroken ptm caps? For tow style

I thought about the chrome style at first for my non tow mirrors. I was thinking of getting a set of non chrome caps and painting them gem green like how the fx4 trucks have. instead of the boring black

Unfortunately I don't. I had a buddy use them for his truck. He did the ptm with them.
