It's all personal preference. I ended up weighing the pros and cons to Rear block, Add a Leaf or rear air bags. The Rear Block and AAL are the same price air bags are more. I chose block because I wanted to keep my factory rude vs add a leaf a stiffer ride, the add a leaf is probably Better in the long run as it ups your payload capacity but air air bags are pretty sweet too as you can always adjust your take if so desired.
Here my FX4 after 2" HBS Spacer and 3" Rear Block. I had it instalked a week ago and love the new height. Bought some 275/70r18 tires and now am rim shopping for spring. I take it back to the installer next week as I am some vibrational issues in the front when accelerating from 0-20km/r and stoping from 20-0KM/h They think something is loose upfront and for re torque!!

I paid 490 with tax for the install but I bought the level on cyber Monday and with that 490 price it included the rear block. Dealer in my area charges $1200.00 for this setup plus tax

Nice. I would love to do a lift but unfortunately I have the Ford premium warranty and will be void if I do it myself. That being said. The dealer would love to do it at the tune Of $4000.00 lol. Some guy my age bought the same truck as me except 402a and had paid to have a level with 35x12.5x18 toyo mt on fuel wheels and rubbed so he paid the $$$ and then do a 6" and he still rubs!!! I'm guessing IT is with his offset but u also don't have money to blow either as that guy does so this truck will only be leveled. Next truck will be lifted!!!

I have the same problem/question. I have not installed it yet, but I am going with the AAL over the block. I don't tow to often, but when I do I want less sag. I did the 2" in front and now want about 1" more in the back.
I have add AAL's in the past and they seemed to make it ride stiffer. I have read other threads about this and many say with the new AAL for this truck the ride doesn't feel much different. If the truck ends up sitting higher than I like in the back, I will either take the 1.25" factory block out, or get a smaller one made.
