Just took off my traction bars today. Truck goes in Wednesday for stage 1 of the TSB. (the new spacer blocks)
I'm pretty sure stage 2 (springs) to follow.

Truck us now at the dealer getting stage 1 TSB. I will let people know how much it helped when I get the chance to tow again.
Also getting the truck put on a balance to check for a vibration at the rear I'm getting. Always there but now worse with the winters on. Already had wheels rebalanced and made minor difference.
We'll see if they find anything like a bad ujoint after all the axle wrap this year.

Did your floating traction bars work?

If so, I'll slap on a pair of those Roadmaster traction bars linked to higher up on this page.

Yes, but I would modify them by changing the cam ratio to allow for perfect articulation throughout the suspension travel range without any binding our other ill affects on the springs. This is simple as making the 3 hole cam plates have a longer distance to the bottom hole that hold the bar vs the distance to the above the spring cross bar. Maybe about twice the distance.
I also want to make a UHMW sleeve to go over the top bar so it doesn't make a metallic clank thru the potholes as it connects with the spring after a quick wheel movement.
I'm pretty interested in those active suspension items and if I could get those for a couple hundred $ I'd save myself the trouble of messing with prototype bars.

If anyone talks to Roadmaster and finds out if they are available for us please post all the juice on them.

There isn't a lot of margin, but I'll sell you a pair of the Roadmaster Active Suspension for $350.00 plus shipping. SRP is $400.00.

I personally don't see the Roadmaster system preventing the shudder that plagues some of us, Just not enough there to prevent the spring from twisting up. dcfluid is on the correct path with his design. I do not have the shudder but do suffer from wheel hop when the tires start to get traction, I will be ordering another set of Cal trac bars for just that reason. The UHMW sleeve to go over the top bar is also a great idea. I have a set of Cal tracs on my fast track drag truck. Before installing the aluminum bushing I drilled and installed a grease zerk in the center of the spring eye, Three years of mud and water with regular greasing and no ill effects to report. The Cal tracs do prevent any wrap and will maintain set pinion angle.

But how well do those Roadmaster setups work? Anyone lived with them on a daily basis yet?

Not me, but when I inquired I set one of my businesses up as a dealer since I was there on the phone.
