Just to chime in, this is a problem in my 2006, and heavily discussed in the 04-08 forum as well, with the same symptoms. We have a 2000 f150 that will freeze you out on a 100 degree day....ford really cut corners with the AC in my opinion over the last few years, compressor engages fine and its filled up with ac coolant

I had this problem with my 2011 Plat. Really didn't bother me too much as I usually have the windows down but now since my truck is a year old it seems like the A/C is much colder then when I first got it. Haven't had anything done to it so not sure why it's colder now then when I first bought it.

I can only speak for my 11 screw but I have it "fixed"! Mine would only blow 59' on a hot 95' day and 56' in the shade on a 75' day.
I suspected that the system was being told to "turn off" and not by High side pressure. High side was only 200psi at 90'.
On the evap Ford has installed a temp sensor. They are limiting the evap temp and I am sure mine is defective, it should cycle the compressor below 56's.
I pulled the screws behind thew glove box, pried the box open, used a mirror and a flashlight to extract the sensor from the fins of the evap. I pulled it out of the box so it will read ambient temp.

Now my vent temp will run at 37's all day long!

I thought mine didn't get cold enough either, but then I went for a ride in my friend's 2012 Edge. His was really cold. Saw he had it set on 60 and I had mine set on 65. Turned it down and it was colder. When I first get in it on a hot day I also manually shift it for a couple minutes to keep the RPMs up for the AC pump. Once the cabin cools down some I put it on recirculate and drive normally. I'm in SoCal so it's usually 85-105 in the summer.

If you live in Florida or in Louisiana like I do having no AC isn't just an inconvenience it's as close to unbearable as it gets...lol

Yes I have it on Max cool with the recirculate on and crack my windows for the first min. or 2 to get the hot air out. Obviously I haven't took it in to the dealer yet but I wanted to see if others out there were having this problem as well? I searched on here and found that some 2010's were having the same issue but none seemed to have taken it to the dealer to see what they say and those threads were almost 2 years old. I am interested to see if the problem is still reoccuring on the 2011's and newer.
I had this same issue and was frustrated by the lack luster AC blowing less than cold air. Both of my other cars blow very cold air, so I was disappointed to hear from Ford that the AC was operating normally. So, reading other Internet tips on this same problem, I wrapped the low pressure line from compressor to firewall with half inch insulation and now it blows much colder air. I measured the degree change and it went from 50 to 45 at 93 degrees outside air temp. I don't notice the cab being undercooled, so I am pleased. It took 20 minutes and $4 for the tubing and zip ties.

Wow pulling up a 6 year old thread I see. My 2011 had a terrible AC in it. Even after wrapping insulation around the lines, I could never get it right. My 2016 AC however works great.
