Did you ever run it this past winter? We have this problem every spring on our equipment because the AC system doesn't get run during the winter and usually needs to be recharged in the spring. If you run it every so often in the winter, you shouldn't have much trouble. Same goes for the heater during the summer. Hopefully this helps prevent some future problems.

Convert the system 404a refridgerant it will make truck have a layer of frost inside lol. 404a is used on -20 freezers. The copper lines turn white frost.

I have only tried the air in my 2011 screw a couple of times so far, and it doesn't get cold. Hope the dealer can do something to improve it. I live in Florida and the temperatures average close to 100 in the summer. If not I will have to trade it.

Not to tell you what to do with your money but you would seriously trade in a brand new pickup for the AC not being the best in the world? Just personal opinion I guess. I'm sure it probably just didn't get charged completely from the factory.

My 2010 and 2011 take forever to get cold in the cab. The AC system to me anyways is average in these trucks. I wish they made the AC system like they did in the 90s versions of the F-150. My 1995 would blow Ice Cold and you would have to turn it off it would get so cold in the cab.......even on the hottest of days. In these new ones I have yet to turn the system off. Just not as good as they used to be.

It's cause newer vehicles are required to use a different refrigerant than what used to be used.

Thanks for all the replies. For some reason I knew that I wouldn't be alone. I have just noticed that anything above 85 degrees outside it takes forever to cool. And I have 20% tint all the way around too.
