I know it's an old thread but I feel like I found the Holy Grail when I finally saw the pictures after searching for awhile. I have the same problem in a 2011. Can the drain be reached from underneath the truck? I noticed it doesn't leak when I have the re-circulation on.

As far as reaching the drain, I have not personally had to since mine flows well, but in reading posts from others, the best way to get to it is by removing the passenger side fender liner which gives clear access to it. Others may weigh in. |

Depending on your climate, this is not unusual. There is typically more condensation when using outside air, especially in humid environments. When on re-circulation, your A/C is recycling inside air which results in much less moisture in it and little to no condensation. Here in the humid southeast, my A/C may barely drip, or not drip at all on re-circ, but if I switch to outside air, the drain hole can soon look like a faucet has been turned on.

Thanks for the response. On re-circ I got nothing inside. I have my carpet up and padding out so I can see anything. The padding was soaked but not smelly or mold. Hasn't happen too long. With it on outside and with this humidity we've had in the Northeast, I'm on the Ma/NH line, it runs like the Nile river. I also do get outside dripping but not a lot. Will all that said I'm guessing my drain can't handle excessive water because of a slight plugged. Maybe the lack of the elbow. So I'll just keep it on re-circ till I get around to fixing another Ford (life time owner) engineering hiccup. To think I found this was happening by dropping the fuse in the wire channel by accident trying to reset a non working sync. Pulled the carpet up and found a bigger problem. Sync fixed btw.
