Default Abs pump wtf?????

OK, I just got my truck back after 3 weeks in the shop and after paying over $2000 for brake work. Thanks you FORD for your TSB that states "Description: FORD: THE COMPLETE CALIPER ASSEMBLY, BRACKET (ANCHOR PLATE), BRAKE PADS, ROTORS AND CLIPS NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO STICKING OR BINDING OF FRONT BRAKE CALIPER. *PE."
The shop I brought it to actually did a good job and started with just one thing at a time instead of changing everything all at once. It ended up being the ABS pump whatever the hell that is.
If there is anyone out there that can tell me what an ABS pump is please give me some insight.

ABS pump is the control center for the antilock brake system, it contains a series of valves, lines, pump, fluid pressure accumulator and onboard computer module that directs fluid to each wheel (4WABS not RABS) in a controlled amount of pressure to overcome a locked or locking up wheel such as when driving on ice, snow, mud, hydroplaning. Several other systems use it also for trailer sway and stability/traction control but that's another story.

yea but here's the fun part...when it fails, the brakes SUCK. where can we find a new ABS pump, verify it's the right one for our truck, and not get our heads torn off in the process?

Dealerships are the kings of tearing people's heads off. I'm trying to not pay half the value of my truck for a single part or issue.
