I looked quick at Advanced Auto, Autozone and Oreilly's

Autozone was the only place that stocked some 912 LED bulbs

Stopped by a picked up some Sylvannia for $12 and some Meguire's PlasticX to clean the Recon taillights

I will see how the bulbs do, otherwise I will return them and these

1550 lumens per BULB. this is likely the brightest 912/921 currently on the market and less than $25/pair.

I doubt that is per bulb, probably for the pair. I have these https://www.theretrofitsource.com/le...15-acme-x.html and they come from a trusted source with real customer support/service. Pricing is essentially the same unless you pay $99 a year to have prime. Having 3 pairs of the ACME bulb that dont flicker an perform better than expected, I will stick with these.

They definitely are 1550 lumens per bulb, read the description. They get very good reviews too. Only question would be their long term reliability, but for $20/pair, its worth it to try them. I've gotten faulty bulbs from some of the most reputable brands: superbrightleds and v-leds have both sent me duds in the past. So trying these ones out for $20 is a no brainer to me considering they are insanely bright and outperform all other 912/921s that are out right now.

I don't buy the listed lumens for these $20 LEDs. How exactly are they tested? Who does the testing?

I don't doubt they're bright. But I do doubt they're actually 1500+ lumens per bulb.

So you have tested these against every other 921 bulb out there? The description is also from a Chinese manufacturer.......They can claim whatever they want to claim. Unless you own a integrating sphere (cost is around $20,000) then its just "well these look brighter than others" statement is all it is. Post output pics of yours, I'd like to see them.

Our engineering team utilizes an integrating sphere to measure all of our products. Here's an overview of that process:

Unfortunately, most vendors do not, which means their lumen numbers will be "estimated" / "calculated" / "theoretical"

We pride ourselves on providing accurate information for our customers, so they know exactly what to expect for real-world use.
