You know your not the only one that lives in the country right? The nearest police to me are 35-40 minutes away and volunteer fire department is 25-30 away by the time they arrive. Yeah it does kinda look like that.

While I live in a large city, I do travel to places very remote.

This would be the first responder we would call if in need on those trips.
I am grateful for the technologies we have today. Although as some have pointed out, they can be annoying I think overall it has helped save lives.

No matter where you are, sometime something can happen where you may need to call for help.

Actually, it does. That could be a dozen or so back roads I travel on weekly basis. I will grant you that 911 is almost useless in rural areas. I'm 25 miles from the nearest grocery store and twice that from the nearest hospital. But with the lack of traffic those roads receive, I will take 911 over nothing if I'm unconscious in an overturned vehicle, on one of those roads. I thank god for the volunteers who go out on these rural 911 calls.

Wow, you mean the manual supplied with vehicle told you that?

Just imagine what other info is in there!

Maybe you'd be better off in a '77 trans am?

So your the kind of rescue people that flys over when the sherieff calls for you.

Mighty expensive trip. And no champane to drink on the way in.
When they fly in from Houston that is 4 counties away.

This ^^^^ some of the back roads i travel back and forth to work may not see any other traffic for 5-6 hours at night. So my truck calling 911 could make a HUGE diffrence.

Just what I needed , ask for help on something cause I wanted to save time trying to look threw cheeters and got somebody making suggestions on what I should drive.
I guess you want me to get rid of my 99 F250 Powerstroke too.

Don't think so.

You do realize that we can shock people in their homes now, it's 2015 and the amount of prehospital care has advanced tremendously!
