Default 70,000 mile maintenence advice?

Now that most of my major mods are completed, I figure I should spend some $$$ on making this truck last.
As I am not very mechanically inclined, I trust and value your opinions more than most mechanics.

I purchased the truck stock in August 2013 with 37,000 from a dealer. I assume the previous owner just traded up after the warranty expired. Since purchase I have encountered the obvious IWE, rear exploding window, drivers side AC blend door failure & I currently have the one piece drive shaft slip bump issue --- All are very frustrating, but like the rest of you I LOVE my F150. Anyways, I'm looking for basic maintenance advice as I'm about to roll 70,000 miles. I see people talking about changing plugs and fluids, but that's all foreign to me. Can anyone explain what they would do if this were your truck and your were trying to prolong its life?

BTW, I don't haul anything besides the occasional house hold items (appliances, drywall, tools, lumber) and drive ~300 miles per week mixed city/highway.

Well my friend, if changing fluids is foreign to you and you have put 33 K miles on it since your purchase you may be better off trading it in. Good Luck

Other than the obvious oil change every 3,000-5,000 miles... My dad didn't fail me as a child lol

I have an 06 with 35 inch pitbull rockers with 250,000 that I drove every day since I was 16 till I was 20 and has been driven HARD and put up wet. The only fluids ever changed on it have been the oil and washer fluid and has never had a problem that I couldn't fix in a couple hours my driveway.

I also have a 13 with 75,000 and the only fluid I change is the oil and have had zero problems.

The only thing you need to do is make sure all fluids are full, most shops that change oil check your fluids and will tell you if something is low. Also keep your air filter clean.

For sure change out the plugs. I can't tell from my phone if you have an ecoboost or a 5.0, but either way, plugs are easy! I think ford saying that plugs are good for 100k is b.s. On my 2011 5.0, they looked like crap at 70k and had gaps of about .070! I noticed better idle, smoother acceleration and about .5~1 more mpg.

Possibly a transmission filter and fluid change
