Default 6th gear upshift at 64-66? only

Truck is 2012 157" WB Eco FX4 4.10 ELD. The truck is completely stock with 5200 miles. Since new it will not shift into sixth until 64-66 MPH. If I shift it to 6th manually it will remain there until the low 40 MPH range dependeing on load. In tow/haul mode sixth gear upshift occurs much sooner. Have any of you experienced this and do you know of a reflash or revised calibration to address this issue? No issues with the truck just trying to improve shift strategy. Thanks,Doug

Weird. Programming issue? Maybe a reflash is in order? Love the 4.10's man

Mine has the same thing, I am working with the dealer to get this resolved. They say a reflash will fix it.

You know, I think I noticed this the other day, thought about it briefly and then forgot. I'll try to check it out today, I have a 2013 and 3.73.

It should be in 6th at 40 mph. Meaning if you acclerate and set the cruise at 40 mph, it should be in 6th

I had a 2011 eco with 4.10's and presently have a 2013 eco with 4.10's. Both of mine act as you mentioned. If you hit the tow haul button while in the 50-63 range it will go into 6th gear. Then hit it one more time to go out of tow/haul and it will stay in 6th. At first it bothered me, I now have larger tires on and kind of like it waiting for the upshift. Your right it will hold 6th pretty long at slower speed (40-45) if you don't mash the throttle while going up a hill.

I monitored mine today and at times she didn't pop into 6th when at speeds of 70mph! RPMs were under 3,000.
