Well I think my problem may be solved. I tried the $300 transmission oil filter change and all I got was $300 poorer. No change in the shifting problem. I took a new ecoboost for a test drive and noticed how quiet the ride was compared to my truck. When I mentioned the difference the dealership suggested a possible problem with the front hubs on my truck. Well they took it apart and found a broken actuator. Replaced 2 actuators, solenoids and hubs. Quiet ride is back and trailer pulls like it did when truck was new. My suggestion to all Ford truck owners that have a transmission that hunts for the right gear or gets poor mileage compared to when the truck was new.....CHECK OUT YOUR FRONT HUBS. Thanks for all your suggestions and comments on how I might fix my truck......Happy F150 Owner, Again!
