The 305/55R20 is 12.7in wide.. Along with a low offset they will be fairly wide as it is.

Its not the cost of 35" tires that keeps me from it, it is loss I will take on tires I bought just 2 weeks ago and have about 200 miles on them.. I can't justify spending another $1600 on tires since I just bought some.

If it were me, I would search for used tire shops around your area (4x4 shops, etc) and see if they can locate a set of lightly used 35". Might be able to trade up and pay a small difference. Just a thought...

Don't have much to add to what has already been said. With my old truck I was really glad I went with 37's with a 6" lift. It wouldn't hurt to put the tires you just purchased up for sale on a site like craigslist if that is what is keeping you from getting a larger set. It's free, and the ad will sit there for a month or so.

You're talking $175 where would you rather lose it, on the lift or on the tires pick one!

I for one would do it.

I've got 305/65R18 on my BDS 4" which is a 33.5" tire. A nominal 35 is only 34.5" and after loaded with weight really only looks 34". (FOR AT's) Mud tires with the mega lugs do look bigger.

I think when it comes to me needing to replace my front struts I'm going to get the 6" ranchos and put an add a leaf in the rear with the current 4" block.

Its all personal obviously, but it doesn't make sense to me to spend another grand or more on tires to save 175 dollars on a lift. Yeah you can try and sell your current ones, but you won't get back what you paid for them and who knows if you'll actually be able to find someone to them. I think a 4" lift looks better with 34/35s and is the highest I would ever go(just me of course) as opposed to a 6" with 35/37s.
